SAN ANTONIO, TX – (June 29, 2023) – Goodwill is celebrating over 50 graduates who have earned their certificate of completion from one of the following Good Careers Academy programs: Medical Assistant, Nurse’s Aide, Pharmacy Technician, or Commercial Driver License. The commencement ceremony took place at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jun.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, overall employment in healthcare occupations is projected to grow 13 percent by 2031. In an era where the demand for healthcare professionals is steadily increasing, Goodwill San Antonio's Good Careers Academy is here to provide job training and certifications for individuals seeking stable and rewarding careers in the medical field.

Two years ago, an act of kindness renewed Holly Keller’s faith in humanity and put her on the path to recovery.  

She had turned to drugs to help survive life on the streets and blot out the past. Her dog, Rukus, was her one sliver of hope in the haze.

Stevens High School students and Goodwill San Antonio are getting ready to host their second annual Fiesta Sustainable Fashion Show on Friday.

“Goodwill is dedicated to sustainability and giving items a second chance in the store and its teaching this young generation how important that is,” said Libby Castillo, director of strategic communications at Goodwill San Antonio.
