The Center for Health Care Services (CHCS) is the community mental health center for Bexar county. Its mission is to improve the lives of people with mental health situations, developmental disabilities, and substance abuse challenges. Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services (DARS)
The DARS Division for Rehabilitation Services is designated as the state's principal authority on the vocational rehabilitation of Texans with disabilities, except persons with visual impairments and the legally blind.
