Growing up in a humble environment on the West Side of San Antonio, my parents worked tirelessly to ensure my siblings and I were provided essential resources to continue our education. For decades, many undeserved communities like the one I grew up in, promote educational attainment and skills development as a means towards social and economic mobility.

A store that helps many people in need is about to get a second location early next week.

Goodwill will be celebrating Monday the official grand opening of a new outlet store, located at 11914 Conly Road, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony to honor the occasion at 8:30 a.m.
