Meet Adriana! 👋

Adriana’s passion for caring for others began early in life. Growing up with a grandmother in poor health, she naturally wanted to help where she could. That early exposure to health care, along with a later experience of providing end-of-life care for her grandfather, deepened her calling to work in the medical field. “I wanted to become a nurse that cared for their patients, how I would care for my family,” Adriana said.

As life progressed, Adriana was faced with having to leave her studies at a local university due to financial hurdles. What seemed like a setback turned out to be a new beginning.

With the guidance of her college roommate, she enrolled at the Goodwill San Antonio Academy and earned her Medical Assistant (MA) certification and is now proudly employed at Thousand Oaks Pediatrics. “My teachers and classmates started off as strangers,” Adriana said, “but they are now friends I can always count on.”
