Camesha: A Story of Dedication

A Colorado native, Camesha found her passion for caregiving early in life, witnessing inadequate care her mother and daughter received during a critical moment in their lives.

As a result, she was driven to make a difference and become the caregiver she wished her mom and daughter could have had. For the next 13 years, she dedicated herself to being a professional care provider. Camesha decided to take her career to the next level and pursue a certification in the medical field.

Camesha discovered the no-cost career training provided at the Goodwill Academy and has since completed her coursework and will be graduating with her certification as a Nurse’s Aide. Armed with her certification and a passion for her work, Camesha is committed to raising the standard of care in the field.

Of her experience, Camesha has some advice for others, “life gets really hard,” she said, “but don’t give up, take those experiences and change them for the better.”
