Free tax preparation for individuals, families available at Goodwill in Laredo
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) services available now through April 18
WHAT: Goodwill in Laredo is proud to be a valued partner in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, a collaborative effort between multiple agencies offering free tax preparation services to working families.
VITA’s IRS-certified volunteers are providing free income tax preparation services for individuals and families with qualifying incomes of $66,000 or less. Preparation services are available at Goodwill in Laredo now through April 18.
Individuals should bring with them:
- Proof of identification
- Social security cards for all family members
- Individual Tax Payer Identification Number (ITIN)
- All wage and earning statements (Form W-2, W-2G, 1099R) from employers
- Interest and dividend statements (Forms 1099-INT, 1099-DIV)
- Bank routing and account numbers to set-up Direct Deposit
- Total paid for daycare provider and the daycare provider’s Employer Identification Number (EIN)
- If filing a joint return, spouse must be present

- Monday - Thursday: 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
- Saturday: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

WHO: Tax payers, VITA IRS-certified volunteers, Good Careers Center staff at Goodwill.
