Goodwill San Antonio

Goodwill helps change lives through the Power of Work.

Goodwill San Antonio is proud to participate in the SA Works Job Shadow day, exposing students to a variety of career paths.

WHAT: Goodwill San Antonio will proudly participate in the SA Works Job Shadow Day by hosting 40 high school students from Harlandale High School. By creating a culture of experiential learning among students, educators, and employers, the SA Works job shadow event is focused on exposing students to a variety of career paths while providing an inside look into the skills needed in the workplace and the value of company culture.

At Goodwill San Antonio, students will be divided into three different groups. Representatives from Goodwill San Antonio's Communications and Engagement, Finance, and Risk Management teams will facilitate mini-workshops with each of the three student groups.

WHEN: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, February 2

WHERE: Goodwill San Antonio Downtown Offices - 406 W. Commerce – San Antonio, TX 78207

VISUALS: Students from Harlandale High School will participate in interactive learning exercises and related activities with Goodwill San Antonio staff members.

WHY: Through this meaningful experience, students will be exposed to various career paths and have the opportunity to both interact and learn from professionals working within Goodwill, a San Antonio non-profit organization providing education, career training and placement assistance for employment. Students will also gain an understanding of the importance of giving back, and how they can positively impact the community by supporting Goodwill San Antonio's mission to help change lives through the power of work.
