SAN ANTONIO (February 8-9, 2017) – Goodwill Industries of San Antonio is seeking to fill grounds maintenance positions and will host two hiring events: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 8 at the Eastside Good Careers Center, 1023 N. Pine, 78202; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Good Careers Center, 2514 SW Drive at Zarzamora, 78224.
Employees will perform grounds maintenance activities such as grass cutting, edging, trimming/pruning, minimal road and parking lot maintenance and limited landscaping. Applicants must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, be able to pass a security background check and drug/alcohol screening. A driver’s license is not required for all positions. Goodwill San Antonio offers a competitive wage starting at $10.60 per hour as well as medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits.
Those hired will be placed at Lackland Air Force Base, Fort Sam Houston Army Base and the Stockyard Building. These locations are on VIA bus lines. Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
