Goodwill Industries of San Antonio Announces New Organizational Structure to Better Serve Community
San Antonio, TX, June 29, 2016 - Goodwill San Antonio today announced it has undertaken a re-organization
to better align its internal structure to serve the needs of the San Antonio and surrounding communities. The Goodwill Contract Services unit and retail activities are now aligned under a new Chief Operating Officer, while human resources and information technology aligns under a new Chief Administrative Officer position. The restructuring finds greater efficiency and productivity across lines of effort in order to enhance the Goodwill mission of changing lives through the power of work.
Mark McKeever has been promoted to serve as Chief Operating Officer and now oversees the Goodwill Retail and Contract Services efforts. He is also responsible for Strategic Planning, Performance Excellence, Business Development, Innovation and Continuous Improvement, Facilities, and Logistics Management.
"Mark's 17 years of experience at Goodwill and his leadership including over 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, will allow us to become a more integrated and effective team. I am very pleased our employees have a leader of Mark's caliber in this key role", stated Kevin Bergner, CEO of Goodwill Industries of San Antonio.
Jim Meehan assumes the role of Vice President for Contract Services and brings a likewise deep base of experience and leadership to that role. Meehan has run multiple businesses with Virginia Industries for the Blind and served over 20 years in the U.S. Navy. Bergner added, "I am very appreciative of Jim's dedication to Goodwill and his selfless commitment to serve in a new role."
Steven Hussain has been promoted to Vice President of Workforce Development. He leads the Goodwill mission to provide educational and employment services to over 24,000 people annually within the 24 county area that Goodwill serves.
"Steven has a personal and professional passion to serve, brings unique experience and forward-looking talent, and is well-respected throughout our community," said Bergner. "Steven is someone who has impressed me from my first day at Goodwill. We are fortunate to have his leadership in this new role."
The last component of this reorganization aligns administrative support for the Agency into a coherent and well-focused organization. Information technology will be aligned under a new Chief Administrative Officer role, which will also be responsible for Human Resources, Loss Prevention, Security, and Risk Management. Janice Bunch has been promoted to serve as the Chief Administrative Officer. David Dauphine, Controller, will serve as the Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Gail Ribalta will continue to serve as the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations.
