Goodwill San Antonio and The Container Store Team Up to Kiss Clutter Goodbye
Retailer accepting monetary donations at check out through May; Dedicates two weekends to collect items for Goodwill San Antonio in stores
SAN ANTONIO (April 21, 2016) - Goodwill Industries of San Antonio is teaming up with The Container Store® to help customers Kiss Clutter Goodbye. Customers are encouraged to “declutter, donate and do life” organized by dropping off donations from 12 to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, April 23 – 24 or Saturday and Sunday, April 30 – May 1 at The Container Store’s San Antonio location. The spring campaign also includes a monetary donation initiative in partnership with Goodwill San Antonio through the end of the campaign.
“In partnership with Goodwill, we’re thrilled to help our customers kiss clutter goodbye and say hello to organization. From the tiny home craze to the popularity of books on decluttering, people everywhere are craving the benefits of a clutter-free life,” said Melissa Reiff, president and COO of The Container Store. “Our spring sale campaign focuses on encouraging our customers to let go of the things that are weighing them down, keep only the things that add meaning to their lives and provide them with expert solutions to organize what is important to them.”
The Container Store location at 333 NW Loop 410, San Antonio, TX 78216 will have a Goodwill San Antonio representative on hand to accept donations of new or used clothing, electronics, small appliances and household goods. Customers who donate goods during these weekends will receive a free co-branded bag from The Container Store. Additionally, customers who make a monetary donation of $5 or more at The Container Store registers throughout the campaign will receive the free bag.
“Springtime organization is an exciting opportunity to throw open the windows and sort out the clutter, but it can also be an overwhelming chore that intimidates people out of even getting started,” said Lorie Marrero, Certified Professional Organizer®, creator of ClutterDiet.com and a spokesperson for Goodwill.
