GOODWILL SAN ANTONIO'S NEW CFO FOCUSES ON FINANCE AND SUPPORT
Steve Goodland brings top-level financial expertise to San Antonio leadership team
SAN ANTONIO (Sept. 15, 2015) – Goodwill Industries of San Antonio has named Steve Goodland as its new chief financial officer.
Goodland will lead the financial operations team, providing financial and administrative operations support and fiscal oversight to Goodwill San Antonio’s retail operations, contract services, and career services and education program delivery.
“Steve’s experience with established firms, as well as startups, will help us considerably as we strategically position Goodwill to expand and serve our community better,” said Goodwill President and CEO Marla Jackson. “His finance and management skills will benefit our retail stores, contract operations and our career services and education programs.”
Prior to joining Goodwill, Goodland worked in operations-focused senior financial management roles with a variety of Texas-based companies, including Nabors Industries, NATCO Group, Triten Corporation, and Arthur Andersen & Co. Over a 35-year career, he has been responsible for developing financial reporting systems and companywide strategic plans, annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
Goodland’s business acumen includes revenue enhancement, cost and working capital management, contracts negotiation, management and compliance, and information systems and business process improvement. His tenure includes completing two successful company transformations, and two IPO transactions, as well as significant hands-on experience with a technology based start-up and developing company.
Goodland received his bachelor in business administration degree in accounting from University of Wisconsin at Madison, completed MBA coursework at University of Houston, and is a Texas licensed CPA.
