GOODWILL SAN ANTONIO CONTRACT SERVICES EARNS ISO CERTIFICATION
Business lines of Document and Records Management, Facility Maintenance, Medical Transcription Services have certified excellent quality management processes
SAN ANTONIO, TX (Aug. 18, 2015) — Goodwill Industries of San Antonio Contract Services unit (GISACS) has earned ISO 9001-2008 certification following a recent 5-day audit of its processes and procedures.
Through Contract Services, Goodwill San Antonio provides a wide variety of options for business services outsourcing as well as long-term and short-term staffing needs. The audit certifies GISACS to have established excellent quality management processes in accordance with the stringent ISO 9001-2008 standards.
The intensive audit reviewed and certified Contracts Services’ three core business lines, Document and Records Management, Facility Maintenance, and Medical Transcription Services. This certification places Goodwill of San Antonio Contract Services among the elite group of companies achieving such statue.
“Through our management expertise and corporate structure, we have reached a high level of expertise in sourcing, pricing, recruiting, building partnerships, and delivering services in a very efficient manner,” said Mark McKeever, vice president of GISACS.
Goodwill operates 16 large and complex contracts providing services such as document management, transcription services, administrative services, HVAC maintenance, heavy equipment operation, recycling services, janitorial services and grounds maintenance/landscaping services.
These contracts yield annual revenues in excess of $28 million and support the employment of nearly 500 individuals of whom 87 percent have significant disabilities while achieving the highest quality recognition.
Goodwill’s customers currently include the U.S. Department of the Army, U.S. Department of the Air Force, the Veterans Administration, The City of San Antonio, local businesses and organizations.
This is the latest national recognition for the award-winning Goodwill of San Antonio Contract Services team, which recently earned national accolades for its work in employing people with significant disabilities, and who typically have the highest rates of unemployment.
