GOODWILL LAUNCHES HOME PICKUP SERVICE
New service will pick up your donation at home or office locations
SAN ANTONIO (JAN. 27, 2015) – Goodwill Industries of San Antonio is making it easier than ever to donate goods this New Year by launching home pickup services at residences in Bexar County, Texas.
Donors can request their donations of large amounts of gently used clothing, household items and furniture be scheduled for pickup. Simply go online (www.goodwillsa.org/home-pickup-services) and fill out a form or call 210-271-8881 to arrange a pickup.
“Donations help fund job-related programs and services,” said Goodwill President and CEO Marla Jackson. “Goodwill’s employment, training and educational opportunities help thousands of people each year.”
Once you call or go online, a Goodwill team member will respond within 24 hours during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. (CST).
For every dollar raised through Goodwill donations, nearly 90 cents is used to fund training and employment programs. These programs help Goodwill fulfill its mission to help change lives through the power of work.
“Not only is Goodwill helping people find a job, we are also helping those who are already employed receive training to advance in the workplace,” said Jackson. “Donations help build careers.”
