SAN ANTONIO – Get ready for some ghoulish fun as Halloween returns to Goodwill with a scary shopping spree contest plus a free interior décor and craft demonstration to inspire fabulous looks using repurposed items found at your local Goodwill store.
Still searching for Halloween costume ideas? Not sure if you’re a Wicked Witch or a Vicious Vampire? Visit Goodwill’s www.Shop-O-Scream.com to participate in the “Find Your Inner Monster” contest for a chance to win a $100 shopping spree. All you have to do is answer a fun and simple personality quiz to determine what Halloween costume would be a good fit.
“We’re thrilled to bring back the Shop-O-Scream shopping spree for the second year,” said Marla Jackson, CEO of Goodwill Industries of San Antonio. “This is a fun and festive tradition that gives thrifty shoppers a chance to share costume ideas and decorating tips on our Facebook page.”
Back by popular demand, Goodwill will be hosting a Décor and Craft Demonstration. Want to get that high-end Halloween look for a fraction of the price? Join Goodwill’s official blogger Haeley Giambalvo for a free workshop on Oct. 16. Giambalvo of DesignImprovised.com has great tips for designing the perfect décor with used goods from Goodwill stores. There will also be a children’s activity featuring Miss Nikki The Literature Lady, who will teach children how to make scarecrow bookmarks.
