Yolanda’s life took unexpected turns after her marriage ended, leading her into addiction and homelessness. With courage, she sought help, achieved sobriety, and found employment at Goodwill San Antonio, which became her support system.
Despite facing health challenges like multiple sclerosis and a stroke, Goodwill Team Members stood by her, offering care and support. Through Goodwill’s guidance and her own perseverance, Yolanda rebuilt her life, finding hope, purpose, and a supportive community!

Brittany’s determination and support from Goodwill Academy helped her overcome loss and homelessness, begin a medical assistant career, and create a home for herself and her six children.
A flyer and a phone call led Zackary to Goodwill’s no-cost Construction Boot Camp, where he gained new skills and support to pursue a career in construction.
After moving from Afghanistan to San Antonio, Mohammad turned to Goodwill San Antonio’s NXT Level program for support. Today, he has earned his GED, enrolled in college and is pursuing a future in technology.
