Syretta: A Story of Redemption
After serving for 6 years in the US Army, Syretta used her educational benefits and enrolled in a nursing program. Obstacles in life made the journey to receiving her education tough, but her faith kept her strong.
Brittany’s determination and support from Goodwill Academy helped her overcome loss and homelessness, begin a medical assistant career, and create a home for herself and her six children.
A flyer and a phone call led Zackary to Goodwill’s no-cost Construction Boot Camp, where he gained new skills and support to pursue a career in construction.
After moving from Afghanistan to San Antonio, Mohammad turned to Goodwill San Antonio’s NXT Level program for support. Today, he has earned his GED, enrolled in college and is pursuing a future in technology.
