Yolanda: A Story of Support

Meet Yolanda 👋

Yolanda began her journey here at Goodwill San Antonio when she was just 21 years old, working as a cashier at the Fredericksburg Rd location. As a single mother, she found more than just a job, she found a supportive community that pushed her to grow.

“I knew at that point I wanted to put myself in a position where I could serve others the way they did for me,” Yolanda said.

With the guidance from supervisors like Sherry Lopez, Yolanda found herself quickly moving up the ladder, from cashier to team lead, and now to General Manager.

Over her 22 years of service at Goodwill San Antonio, Yolanda has strived to show respect, compassion, and support to those around her.

“I’ve met so many amazing people here that I still keep in contact with,” Yolanda said. “Goodwill is my family.”
