Today, we want to share the inspiring journey of a grad who has shown resilience and courage! đź’™ Meet Sasha, a single mother of three who broke free from the shadows of domestic violence. Just a few months ago, she took the brave leap to go back to school, starting a new path for herself and her children. She is now a proud graduate of our Goodwill Good Careers Academy and is a certified nurse’s aide! 👩‍🎓🩺 “I want to thank God and my kids. Brittany’s determination and support from Goodwill Academy helped her overcome loss and homelessness, begin a medical assistant career, and create a home for herself and her six children.
A flyer and a phone call led Zackary to Goodwill’s no-cost Construction Boot Camp, where he gained new skills and support to pursue a career in construction.
After moving from Afghanistan to San Antonio, Mohammad turned to Goodwill San Antonio’s NXT Level program for support. Today, he has earned his GED, enrolled in college and is pursuing a future in technology.
