Sierra: A Story of Opportunity
After high school, drugs steered Sierra down a dark road. Once she hit rock bottom, she moved in with her mom and found work at Goodwill as a cashier. Three years later, she is a manager of a Goodwill Store and thriving.
Brittany’s determination and support from Goodwill Academy helped her overcome loss and homelessness, begin a medical assistant career, and create a home for herself and her six children.
A flyer and a phone call led Zackary to Goodwill’s no-cost Construction Boot Camp, where he gained new skills and support to pursue a career in construction.
After moving from Afghanistan to San Antonio, Mohammad turned to Goodwill San Antonio’s NXT Level program for support. Today, he has earned his GED, enrolled in college and is pursuing a future in technology.
