Miranda: A Mother's Strength Paved the Way to Graduation Day

Meet Miranda,
As a child of a single mom, Miranda found her independence early on. Now raising two children on her own, they’ve become her greatest motivation to build a better life. “I want my kids to grow up and see their mom and say, I have a career, I have a job, I have my own house.” Miranda said.
With her mother’s support, Miranda discovered the Pharmacy Technician program at Goodwill Academy. Miranda’s time at the academy went beyond the classroom. “I’m so grateful to have a teacher like Mrs. Solis” Miranda said, “she and the rest of the academy worked with me when I was struggling to balance school and my kids.”
Today, Miranda is a proud graduate who found meaningful employment, with the help of Goodwill Academy. Join us in celebrating her success!
Miranda’s story is just one of many made possible through Goodwill San Antonio.
