Michael: A Story of Determination
After being laid off, Michael needed to find a job quickly to avoid losing the family home. As his unemployment benefits were running out, he learned about the Commercial Drivers License program from Goodwill. After completing the program, Michael was able to earn a rewarding career.
A flyer and a phone call led Zackary to Goodwill’s no-cost Construction Boot Camp, where he gained new skills and support to pursue a career in construction.
After moving from Afghanistan to San Antonio, Mohammad turned to Goodwill San Antonio’s NXT Level program for support. Today, he has earned his GED, enrolled in college and is pursuing a future in technology.
When Henry moved to San Antonio, finding a job was his top priority. He visited a Goodwill San Antonio Career Center for help with his resume, not knowing the visit would lead him to an opportunity at Goodwill.
