Meet Diana: A Journey of Dedication

For 36 years, Diana Trevino has been a dedicated team member at Goodwill San Antonio- embodying the organization’s mission and values. Her journey to Goodwill began in 1989, when a relative introduced her to the non-profit organization.

“Back in 1989, my brother-in-law told me of an opportunity at Goodwill. That’s when I applied for a position as a file clerk in what was called the Personnel Office, now known at Human Resource. I got the job and was so excited,” said Diana.

For Diana, the job marked the beginning of a career that would span over three decades. Throughout her time at Goodwill, she has witnessed firsthand the evolution the non-profit organization has had on the community. When asked what has kept her motivated to stay with Goodwill for so long, Diana points to the organization’s mission.

“The mission of Goodwill ‘changing lives through the power of work’ is what keeps me here,” said Diana. “Even though times have changed, the mission is still the same, and I love that we are here to help individuals with barriers and disabilities.”

Today Diana works in the Accounting and Finance department where she is responsible for fixed assets. Her story is a testament to the power of compassion, dedication and the belief in the potential of others.

“No matter what the disability or challenge our participants have, Goodwill has always been here to serve and provide opportunities. That is why I am still here,” said Diana. “I never imagined being with a company this long, but I am where I need to be. I hold Goodwill close to my heart.”
