Juan: A Story of Second Chances
While staying in a halfway house, Juan learned that Goodwill San Antonio had training opportunities for individuals reentering the workspace after being incarcerated. He was accepted into, and completed the construction training program. John is now employed, stable and successful, and is grateful for being able to contribute to society.
Brittany’s determination and support from Goodwill Academy helped her overcome loss and homelessness, begin a medical assistant career, and create a home for herself and her six children.
A flyer and a phone call led Zackary to Goodwill’s no-cost Construction Boot Camp, where he gained new skills and support to pursue a career in construction.
After moving from Afghanistan to San Antonio, Mohammad turned to Goodwill San Antonio’s NXT Level program for support. Today, he has earned his GED, enrolled in college and is pursuing a future in technology.
