From New Beginnings to New Dreams: Alshaimaa's Journey to Graduation

Just three years ago, Alshaimaa moved to the United States from Egypt with one goal- creating better educational opportunities for her children.

Starting over wasn’t easy. She had to learn a new language, adapt to a new culture, and build a new life. Through it all, she remained determined to create a brighter future for her family.

With previous experience in patient care, Alshaimaa knew she wanted to continue helping others. In 2025, a friend encouraged her to enroll in the Goodwill Academy, where she gained the confidence to practice her English, built meaningful friendships, and found support from her instructor, Mrs. Morin.

“Mrs. Morin was there for me when I needed it most,” said Alshaimaa. “I’m so grateful for her encouragement and support.”

Alshaimaa is graduating from the Medical Assistant program and taking the next step toward a career in healthcare; celebrating not only this accomplishment but also everything she has overcome to get here.

“I feel inspired, more confident, and proud of myself because it wasn’t an easy road,” she said.

Join us in congratulating Alshaimaa on this incredible achievement!
