Frei: A Story of Perseverance
As a mother of four children, Frei experienced her worst nightmare with the unexpected passing of her son. The trauma that followed became almost more than she could bear. Frei lost her job, her home, and at times had no transportation, yet found the strength to persevere.
A flyer and a phone call led Zackary to Goodwill’s no-cost Construction Boot Camp, where he gained new skills and support to pursue a career in construction.
After moving from Afghanistan to San Antonio, Mohammad turned to Goodwill San Antonio’s NXT Level program for support. Today, he has earned his GED, enrolled in college and is pursuing a future in technology.
When Henry moved to San Antonio, finding a job was his top priority. He visited a Goodwill San Antonio Career Center for help with his resume, not knowing the visit would lead him to an opportunity at Goodwill.
