Christina: A Story of Achievement
Christina became pregnant at 17, and withdrew from high school. She later obtained her GED and began studying to become a medical lab technician. When her husband lost his job, the stress of mounting finances built, Christina knew she needed a career to support her family.
A flyer and a phone call led Zackary to Goodwill’s no-cost Construction Boot Camp, where he gained new skills and support to pursue a career in construction.
After moving from Afghanistan to San Antonio, Mohammad turned to Goodwill San Antonio’s NXT Level program for support. Today, he has earned his GED, enrolled in college and is pursuing a future in technology.
When Henry moved to San Antonio, finding a job was his top priority. He visited a Goodwill San Antonio Career Center for help with his resume, not knowing the visit would lead him to an opportunity at Goodwill.
