Today, Jesus is a team lead on Goodwill San Antonio’s grounds maintenance team, building a future he is proud of and leading with confidence.
After being released from incarceration in 2024, finding employment was not easy. He faced judgment and struggled to feel accepted, all while trying to support his family. Still, he stayed determined to move forward.
That determination led him to Goodwill San Antonio, where he found not just a job, but an opportunity to grow. With support from leadership, he built confidence, stepped into a leadership role, and continues working toward what is next.
“I do not feel like I have to walk on eggshells. Everyone makes me feel welcome. They embrace me, “ said Jesus.
