25 Years of Dedication: Meet Gwen

Meet Gwen,

For the past 25 years, Gwen has welcomed donors at Goodwill San Antonio with kindness and compassion, turning her donation station into a place where people feel like family.

“I’ve always loved serving people,” Gwen said“Once I started working at Goodwill San Antonio and got to know my donors, I knew I belonged.”

Through the years, Gwen has built lasting relationships with many of the donors she sees each day, even watching some of their children grow up. Her kindness and compassion have made her donation station a place where people feel welcomed and cared for.

Recently, Gwen became emotional while reflecting on a donor who came to her station after losing both his mother and wife in the same week. Moments like that remind her how important kindness can be during difficult times.

Gwen represents what makes Goodwill San Antonio more than a store or a donation center.

“This is my mission. This is my calling,” Gwen said.

Today, we celebrate Gwen’s 25 years of dedication and the lasting impact she has made on those around her.
