Opening in Summer 2027, the Goodwill Opportunity Center is an investment in the future of San Antonio’s workforce and will bring expanded education, workforce training, career services, and community partnerships together in one location.
Why It Matters
San Antonio continues to face significant economic and workforce challenges:
- SanAntonio ranks as the 3rd poorest of the top 10 major cities in U.S.
- 13% of families live below the poverty level
- 32% of families in San Antonio earn less than 200% of the federal poverty level.
- About one in seven adult residents do not have a high school diploma or equivalent
Increasing Our Capacity to Serve the Community
Expanding Goodwill’s physical footprint will help address the growing demand for a skilled workforce. The Opportunity Center will increase Goodwill’s dedicated workforce training, education, and collaboration space by 700% allowing access to more free workforce development programs for our community
