September is Workforce Development Month, and Goodwill San Antonio is stepping up with free programs and services designed to help you prepare for a meaningful career. Christine Urdialez and Ida Jackson joined us this morning to share how Goodwill is making a difference beyond the thrift store.
While many know Goodwill for its retail side, the organization also plays a powerful role in workforce development. Through Goodwill Academy, individuals 18 and older can access training programs that open doors to new career paths. Whether you’re interested in CDL driving, manufacturing, administrative work, or medical fields, there’s something for everyone.
The medical program seven include hands-on clinical training, giving students real-world experience in healthcare settings. These programs are designed to not only teach skills but also build confidence and prepare participants for long-term success in the workforce.
Goodwill’s mission is to remove barriers to employment and empower individuals through education and opportunity, and this month is the perfect time to take that first step.
