Goodwill San Antonio hosts Mega Job Fair with over 50 employers ready to hire! | News4SA

SAN ANTONIO – Jobseekers looking for a new start had plenty of options on Wednesday as Goodwill San Antonio hosted a mega job fair featuring more than 50 employers and more than 1,000 open positions.

Goodwill San Antonio said the event was held Wednesday, Feb. 25, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Second Baptist Church Community Center at 3310 E. Commerce St. Organizers reported nearly 700 local jobseekers attended.

The job fair included openings across industries such as health care, warehousing, manufacturing, construction, education, hospitality, and administration.

Participating employers included Goodwill San Antonio, the City of San Antonio, CHRISTUS Health, CPS Energy, and SAWS, among others.

Most positions offered starting wages of $15 an hour or higher, according to Goodwill San Antonio, and included background-friendly opportunities.

The event was hosted by the Goodwill Academy & Career Services team in partnership with the City of San Antonio’s Ready to Work program.

Goodwill said its Career Centers provide free career services for anyone seeking employment, including resume development, interview preparation, and job placement assistance.

Community members who were unable to attend can still connect with Goodwill’s Career Centers for help with their job search.
