Goodwill San Antonio Hosts a Mega Job Fair

Goodwill San Antonio hosted a mega career fair with over 50 employers ready to hire for over 1,000 open positions. The event, held on Wednesday, September 17, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Second Baptist Church Community Center (3310 E. Commerce St.), saw a turnout of nearly 700 jobseekers. Participating employers included Goodwill San Antonio, Coca Cola Southwest Beverages, City of San Antonio, Mariott International, SAWS, Whataburger, Zachry, and more. The event is put on by Goodwill San Antonio’s Career Center, which provides free, tailored career services to anyone seeking employment. Most positions have a starting wage of $15/hr and background-friendly positions were available. If community members were unable to attend, they are encouraged to contact the Goodwill San Antonio Academy & Career Services to schedule an appointment for career assistance.
