Goodwill San Antonio is continuing its investment across the region with the opening of a new donated goods retail store and donation center at 6363 RittimanRd., creating new jobs and expanding access to affordable products and workforce development opportunities to the Northeast side of San Antonio.
Goodwill will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, May 13 at 9:30 a.m., followed by the official grand opening to the public at 10 a.m. The 13,282-square-foot store transforms a former Walgreens into a modern retail space designed to serve both shoppers and donors while supporting Goodwill’s mission of Changing lives through the power of work.
“As we continue to grow across San Antonio, each new location represents an opportunity to connect more residents to meaningful employment,” said Carlos J. Contreras III, President & CEO of Goodwill San Antonio. “This store expands access to things people need every day, such as affordable goods, job opportunities, and the support to take the next step towards upward mobility. It’s also a great place to find hidden treasures.”
The store will offer a wide selection of gently used clothing, household goods, electronics, and more. A drive-through donation station will also make it easier for community members to donate their gently used items.
Store hours will be Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
