Carrying Goodness

Carrying Goodness

Goodwill San Antonio, H-E-B, and the San Antonio Food Bank are joining forces to make giving back even easier. When you donate your gently used items to Goodwill using reusable bags, you’re not only supporting sustainability—you’re also helping provide vital job resources and nutritious food for families in our community. Together, we’re creating a stronger, greener San Antonio.

How It Works
Put Your Goodwill Donation Items Into Reusable Bags
  • Gather up any H-E-B or other reusable bags you’re no longer using—they’re ready for a new purpose!
  • Fill the bags with the clothes, shoes, home goods, and other items you’d like to donate to Goodwill.
Donate to Goodwill San Antonio
  • Drop off your empty or donation-filled reusable bags at any Goodwill San Antonio *San Antonio metroplex area only.

  • Your donations will be sold in Goodwill San Antonio stores, funding career training, and employment placement services for our community.
Support the San Antonio Food Bank
  • Your donated reusable bags won’t go to waste! Goodwill San Antonio will donate them to the San Antonio Food Bank to help distribute groceries to families in need.

  • Your donations help fight hunger and build a more sustainable future.

Why It Matters

The goal is simple: to repurpose for good.

  • Your Goodwill donations directly support the organization’s mission of Changing Lives Through the Power of Work by helping fund free career training and job placement services
  • Giving reusable bags and secondhand items a new purpose helps create a more sustainable community.
  • The repurposed bags will be given to the San Antonio Food Bank to carry and provide meals for families struggling with food insecurity.
