2035 Vision

Aspirational Goals for 2035

For 80 years, Goodwill San Antonio has been committed to changing lives through the power of work, and this plan will guide our efforts to address the growing needs of the community and workforce. Goodwill has identified the following long-term goals for 2035:

Goodwill aims to be the premier workforce development provider, addressing skill gaps and workforce challenges across the region. This includes expanding partnerships with local businesses and educational institutions to create targeted
career pathways and customized training programs.

We will enhance our workforce development programs, grow our donated goods retail locations, and broaden our business services contracts to increase our presence and impact across the region. The goal is to ensure communities across the region, particularly those with limited resources, have direct access to workforce development, social services, and community support.

By strengthening collaborations with business and nonprofit partners, Goodwill will maximize opportunities for clients to access supportive services, internships, apprenticeships, and job placements, enhancing long-term success.

Foundational Goals for Lasting Impact

  • Commitment to Process Engineering: Develop a structured approach to evaluate and improve program efficiency, ensuring that all initiatives deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Commitment to Planet: Embed sustainability practices throughout operations, including eco-friendly initiatives and
energy-efficient facilities, to reduce our environmental footprint and contribute to a healthier community.
  • Headquarters: Establish a main campus that consolidates Goodwill’s administrative and service delivery functions,
enabling streamlined processes and enhanced support for clients and employees alike.
