Who we align with

Our Alliance Unit is a recently formed initiative that recognizes the power of partnership and collaboration in relation to our mission. Goodwill understands the synergy that is enabled thru partnership and is pleased that the following organizations create best in class service delivery thru an alliance with Goodwill. These alliances are centered around three models of service - Good Health at Goodwill, Financial Strengthening and Good Careers Academy.

With two co-locations in Goodwill stores (Fredericksburg @ Vance Jackson & most recently, Bitters @ Hwy 281), this partner mitigates the impact of predatory lending on the people we serve. By providing value-add services and access to low-cost alternative banking products and services for the unbanked, they are committed to financial literacy and helping people to obtain assets and become financially independent. This partner is a central cornerstone in the successful implementation of our Financial Strengthening Model.

San Antonio Metropolitan Health District

Recently combined with the county-based University Health System, their focus on preventive health care is unparalleled. They currently operate a children's immunization clinic in our Blanco @ 410 location. Additionally, mobile health fairs are scheduled throughout the year to provide health screenings and education to those in most need. Metro Health is a key component of our Good Health at Goodwill Model.

University Health System

This latest partner on our Good Health at Goodwill model is co-locating at our Fredericksburg @ Vance Jackson location to offer acute health services for those in need. They are also participating in mobile health fairs throughout the Goodwill network of stores.

Alamo Community Colleges

This premier college network of schools is partnering to help deliver the Good Careers Academy work certifications for high demand driven occupations, such as IT and healthcare cereers. Their expertise, guidance and when needed, instructors/curriculum create a continuum of education for those receiving Goodwill services.
